52 books :: 1 & 2 :: Alice in Wonderland & Anne of Green Gables

I have started reading my first choice for this challenge. One of my favourite stories is Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll and even though I have read it a few times, I thought I would start off the year by re-reading it. I have always loved the weirdness of it and following Alice along her adventure, her reactions, and the comments she makes to herself.

L. M. Montgomery Reading Challenge

The second week of January I am planning on reading Anne of Green Gables by Lucy M. Montgomery. I have watched the television series years ago but never actually read the books. I would like to read it aloud to my daughters, but not sure if it will be at this time.
There is a L.M. Montgomery Reading Challenge going on this month, click on the button to read more!

  1. That sounds like a really fun challenge (the 52 books in 52 weeks). I'm so glad you are going to give Anne a shot with your girls. It's a really great children's classics and I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for "playing" with me! ;)

  2. I've never read Alice in Wonderland, but one day will. My favorite Alice movie is the tv version with Natalie Gregory, Sammy Davis Jr, Red Buttons, Beau Bridges and many more stars.

    If you wish to watch this, follow through and watch all 10 parts.
    Then the movie continues for part 2 here, and yes, once again there are 10 parts.

    I've read Anne of Green Gables several times and one day would like to read the whole series. I love Anne.

  3. Okay to make it a little easier do this.
    The Alice movie is split into 2 parts. The first is called Alice in Wonderland. You can find the 10 videos for this on youtube under this title:
    Alice in Wonderland 1/10
    The second part of the movie is called Alice in Wonderland Through the Looking Glass. You can find this at youtube under the title:
    Alice Through the Looking Glass 1/10
    I hope you watch it and enjoy it as much as I did. This movie was made in 1985 and I was 11 years old and vividly remember watching it on tv.
