Heritage Village ~ Homeschool Field Trip ~ Part 3: the village

We met after lunch in one of the cabins and learned how life was living as a large family in pioneer times in a tiny cabin by the woods.  We made butter and tasted it with homemade bread that our guide had made earlier.

We visited the jail and the kids made beeswax candles there.

Lastly, we were given a list of questions and were told to find the answers by visiting the rest of the village. Some buildings were from different time period. We all really enjoyed this activity!
