Project: Cross-Stitching

Cross-stitch has been a relaxing activity at our house over the last few weeks. It's something the kids and I have enjoyed doing while watching tv, all cozy on the couch!

Adrienne created her own pattern with an illustration from her Manga Kawaii book

Andre has been working on his Dr. Who cross stitch from wee little stitches

I completed the first month of the Woodland Sampler

The Woodland Sampler is a year long cross stitch project from The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery. It's adorable and a lot of fun to work on. The sale for the year long pattern is on until only January 11th. If you are interested in doing this, hurry! You receive the pdf pattern for all the frames and every month a new pattern in your e-mail box. Go to this link for more info.

If you are on instagram, you can hashtag your project with #woodlandsampler. It's been a lot of fun checking out all the cute stitching!

I have almost completed all the frames for the project:

My next stitching project, in between working on the woodland sampler, I am going to tea dye some Aida 18 white fabric I have and do this stitch pattern. I might change some of the thread colours.

  1. What adorable patterns. I love cross-stitching, and my son asked me to teach him last year. It's great to have a relaxing craft like this, especially for long, winter nights. :)

  2. I don't think my last comment went through. That is fantastic Alex. I did a lot of cross stitch when I was younger and loved it. I got some cross stitch kits for Heather for Christmas. I have a couple of big ones I was working on a number of years ago that I think I will finish while I am helping Heather do hers. :) Although this is tempting me....
