Window Nature Study :: Autumn :: October

Last month we started a year long window nature study as suggested in the nature study newsletter grid. The idea is simple, choose a window in your house and observe the seasonal changes over the year.

The colours on our small-leaf linden tree are turning yellow and some have already fallen. The begonia on the front porch still has most of its flowers and the grass is green with fallen leaves scattered.

I am linking to the Outdoor Hour Challenge hosted by Barb at Handbook of Nature Study.

  1. What a simple year-long study! I love it. Thanks so much for sharing your window study with the OHC Carnival.

  2. What a great idea! I think we might need to do something like this. Now that I think of it, some of the best ideas in my homeschool (poetry tea time, nature study) have come through you. Love it! :)
