Homemade Pillowcases + Lemony Home Scents :: Make & Listen

It's Thursday again. Happy Thanksgiving to all my American Friends! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful day.

This past week had several grey and windy days. With the windows closed more often now, I wanted to start simmering happy scents on my stove top. I have done these before, especially around Christmas time. You can make different combinations.

This time, I chose lemon, rosemary, and vanilla.

Slice one lemon, add rosemary (fresh would be better but I didn't have any), and add a few drops of vanilla into a small pot of water. Bring to a low simmer and keep adding water to the pot as it evaporates.

This past week, I also sewed a few more pillowcases. One of these will be travelling to Florida for a family member. I had a lot of fun making this pretty kitty one!

These are a lot of fun to make. I still have a few more to sew together. My kids are each receiving two pillowcases, my husband and I will have one each too.

You can see the tutorial on this past make & listen post: homemade holidays.

Are you getting ready for the holidays too? I much prefer making my gifts and still have a few to work on. Hopefully I will have some finished soon and can share with you next Thursday!

  1. These pillow cases are great. You have been busy at the machine!
I love simmering orange, with cinnamon and cloves. I will have to try the rosemary, vanilla blend.
    Thanks for sharing!
