Make & Listen :: Number Twenty Nine

November is here and with it a new design for the year long Woodland Sampler! This month it is a grey squirrel. We only have two spots left on the sampler to complete and then I will need to decide what to do with it....I probably will want to frame it. It's been a really cute project to work on and I hope the Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery creates a new one for 2014.

I have been working on my Autumn Sampler too, trying to finish soon so I can maybe start on the next project...I only have one more row of cute little fall-themed designs to do.

In the kitchen this week, there was a little bit of making. My husband loves butter tarts but it is difficult to find them without raisins, so I made him some without. I used pre-made mini tart shells but next time I will make those too.

I also made a leek and mushroom quiche. It was delicious. I am not sure why I don't make quiches more often.

We also spent some time with our friends on the weekend to celebrate the Day of the Dead and decorate sugar skulls. Carol made all the skulls and all the kids decorated them with icing and little sequins. Once they were finished, Carol and I decorated a couple too. That was fun!

This past week, I have listened a lot to my son practicing the trumpet for his army cadets military band. Besides that, we watched more Bones.

I am linking to Dawn's weekly Make & Listen post. This week, she has some fun nature related project on her post, check it out!

  1. Both samplers are turning out so cute. That squirrel is adorable.
I like quiche but don't make it often. I need to find a good paleo friendly crust.
Thanks for joining in again this week!
