Tulips Everywhere in Charlottetown

From left to right: Great George Street, Province House, St Dunstan's Basilica.

The City of Charlottetown is blooming with tulips! Last weekend was the Charlottetown Tulip Festival, but the tulips really opened up more at the end of this week and this weekend. I took advantage of the beautiful weather Wednesday evening and today to walk around and take quick photos of some of the tulips.

Charlottetown City Hall,
a National Historic Site built in the 1880s.

I have been sharing a lot of my photos of our beautiful city on my instagram (you can find me at lifeonisland)

According to the City of Charlottetown website, Mayor Lee said ""The Fathers of Confederation may have had a spring in their step when they landed in Charlottetown to discuss Confederation, and in 2014 we have 70,000 tulip bulbs springing up throughout Charlottetown".

70,000 tulip bulbs! You definitely notice tulips everywhere!
