Summer Time Fun: Beach Days & PEI 2014 Celebration Zone

Summer has been absolutely beautiful on the island this year! I think Mother Nature is giving us an extra dose of sunshine as maybe a way to apologize for the extra long and cold winter?!

Whatever the reason, we are enjoying it. I share a lot of quick photos through my instagram (lifeonisland) of our adventures. Today, I put together a few mosaic of these quick snapshots for you.

We have had many beach days, and hoping for many more this season. Our favourite beaches this year are Brackley Beach and Stanhope Cape Beach. Each side of the island has beautiful beaches but the ones at the PEI National Park are more convenient for us to get to, also the tides don't affect these large beaches as much.

We have spent many days at Celebration Zone in Charlottetown too! This area is part of the PEI 2014 celebrations and we have had a lot of fun there, playing in the kids' zone and watching many interesting shows. So much fun and all free! Check out more here: PEI 2014 Celebration Zone.

We watched Aboriginal hoop dancer Dallas Arcand during Alberta Week. During the same week, the Royal Tyrrell Museum had dinosaur bones on display. Buskers are regulars in the zone all summer long, and so entertaining to watch!

We saw Fred Penner and the Winnipeg Contemporary Dance Co. during Manitoba Week. This past week we watched in awe the stilt walkers from Circus Stella!

And if you are wondering about the fries in that last mosaic...they are the best fries from the Chip Shack. The Queen of Fries is right outside the Celebration Zone and so worth visiting, try the garlic sauce with your PEI fries!

So much fun already and there is still more summer left! I hope you are having a great one too.
