Yoga in March

I continued the daily practice of yoga at home in March with Yoga with Adriene. It has been a wonderful addition to my days. It has felt so wonderful for my body and my mind.

March 6 to 20

Posting a daily photo on my instagram continues to help me stay focused. There hasn't been one day yet that I have not wanted to do yoga though!

At the start of the month, I started to participate in an instagram challenge hosted by two amazing yoga teachers and sponsored by a yoga clothing company. I mentioned it in my last yoga post

The Journey to Handstand was at times quite challenging but I really enjoyed it. I didn't get to do a proper full handstand, but the challenge pushed me to try poses and exercises that I didn't think I could even try.

So often, I would look at the short videos about the day's pose, and my initial reaction was that I could not do that. But, I still gave it a try and sometimes really surprised myself!

This month, I have continued with a new challenge, also hosted by Kino MacGregor, Kerri Verna, and sponsored by ALO Yoga. April is Detox Your Body:

I have tried a new to me pose called the goddess pose. A friend had posted a photo of herself doing it for a "stop drop and yoga". It was really fun to try!

Lastly, these updates are another way for me to documenting my love of yoga. I am so happy I discovered this and want to share that if I can do this, finding time to fit it in every single day...well anyone can give it a try! Check out Adriene's  youtube channel: Yoga with Adriene, it's free and she posts new videos once a week. Her website is wonderful too: Yoga with Adriene.

I will post an update at the end of April. I guess I could call 2015 the year of yoga for me!
