Weekly Journal + Links ♥ ~ CBC Interview + other Surprises!

When the week first started, my bullet journal was pretty much empty. It looked like it would be a nice quiet week, but it turned out quite different! It was a great busy week, filled with awesome experiences!

Celeste and I started Monday with the Mud Puddles Nature Summer Camp. Each day, we enjoyed learning more about insects together. It truly has been a wonderful start to getting back to nature study a little more.

We also worked on tidying her bedroom. I have continued over the last few months, more slowly though, to work the magic of tidying up in my home with the KonMari method. We tackled her toys this time.

We finished Monday with a picnic dinner at the beach, which was a little cool but perfect.

Celeste is taking part this summer in a local weekly food-focused workshop. This workshop will show her different culinary operations and invite her to do some hands-on things too. The first week was at the local casino and race track kitchens, she loved preparing fish tacos, deep frying them especially!

I was invited to participate in a CBC interview to talk about adult colouring with two friends, one being Nadine Staff, the creator of Feel Good Colouring. It was a really fun interview as we sat around Zoey's kitchen table and coloured together! This interview, different parts of it, was aired on the radio, the tv, and as an article too. Andrea from Calgary told me she saw me on her CBC news too! {links at the bottom of this post!}

Speaking of adult colouring, there is a free pdf from Johanna Basford of a page from her upcoming Lost Ocean colouring book (link at the bottom of post!). I really enjoyed working on this page this week!

Wednesday was a little more quiet for me, until I found out I won two tickets to that evening's show of Search for Abgeweit at the PEI Brewing Company! I quickly found a friend to go with and it was a truly amazing evening! I really enjoyed listening to Lennie Gallant, his stories and songs about PEI; as well as looking at his sister's beautiful paintings and historical photos. The combination of both was really interesting.

Celeste and I decided to take a long bike ride on Thursday to see the Young Company outdoor show downtown, at the Confederation Centre. We met friends there and after the show, we had a picnic on Victoria Row. It was a beautiful day! I didn't take any photos during the show as my iPod was not working, but we will go again to this presentation as it is a favourite!

On Our Way to Downtown Charlottetown

Friday, we went to another friend's house. Celeste played and I worked a little more on making bags.

Today is a yard sale and afterwards, maybe the beach! Sunday, my first baby turns 18! I can hardly believe how fast the time has passed!!!
