Fantastic Cities ~ Colouring Book Review

Fantastic Cities: A Colouring Book of Amazing Places Real and Imagined by Steve McDonald is an absolutely beautiful intricate colouring book!

Lunenberg, Nova Scotia and Lunenberg Mandala

This colouring book is like taking a voyage around the world. The aerial views of all the cities and their spectacular details truly take us on an adventure. I have enjoyed many of the adult colouring books that have been created over the last couple of years.

My husband, enjoying colouring in the Amsterdam page

Amsterdam, Netherlands

This is the first one that my husband was curious about and actually coloured in! He really enjoyed the time he spent, one morning before work, colouring in the Amsterdam page.

Melbourne Mandala

Fantastic Cities has many city scapes and also some gorgeous architectural inspired mandalas. I really enjoyed colouring in the Melbourne Mandala. Colouring is a very relaxing pastime and mandalas draw you in with their symmetry even more!

Traffic Jam

The repetition in the Traffic Jam is also a soothing relaxing colouring page, unlike what a real traffic jam would feel like!

Fantastic Cities, with its architectural and cityscape feel, is a wonderful colouring book! It could be a great introduction to colouring as a relaxing hobby to someone that isn't attracted to the more "feminine" looks of many of the colouring books available lately!
