The Pink Lady Slipper flower is from the Orchid family. It is the official provincial flower for Prince Edward Island. I went on a group hike on the Brookvale Nordic trails last Saturday morning and we were looking for these during our hike. I had never seen them in real life! They are rare and really interesting to see. They usually grow in forested areas, in the shade.
We only saw pink ones, some brighter pink than others, but lady slippers can be found in white colour and yellow colour.
